ANKARA: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday said Pakistan wants a peaceful and stable Afghanistan and would play its role in progress and stability of the neighboring country.
In an informal chat with media before leaving for Pakistan after a three-day official visit of Turkey, the Prime Minister said that Afghanistan stability was important for Pakistan’s own stability.
He said that he held discussions with Turkish leadership over wide-ranging issues including Syria , Russia, Daesh and other important regional and international issues.
He further said that he held detailed meeting with Turkish President Erdogan regarding Free Trade Agreement between the two countries.
Interacting with the media persons in Ankara, he invited all the political parties of the country to join hands for progress and prosperity. He added that Pakistan would establish communication links from Khunjrab to China, Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan .
Nawaz said that work on feasibility of Kabul Motorway was under way.
He said that their future vision focused on establishing linkages with the Central Asian republics from Khunjarab to China to Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
