KARACHI: Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani on Saturday said that basic objective of creation of Pakistan was to have a welfare state.
Addressing students on importance of constitutional governance at a private university, Rabbani said that the system developed by Quaid-e-Azad had been destroyed.
The veteran politician said that a negative propaganda was run against the politicians. He said that there should be one law for politicians, judges and Army and everyone should be held accountable under the same law.
He dubbed NAB as an institution which promoted corruption rather than eliminating it.
Rabbani admitted that despite being Chairman Senate he could not do anything for recovery of the missing person. He added that during the democratic governments including that of PPP’s no attention was paid on education and health sectors.
