Wellington (January 6, 2018): Pakistan won the toss in the first one-day international (ODI) match against New Zealand, asking the opponent team to bat first here in Reserve Basin.
Pakistani skipper Sarfraz Ahmed is hopeful his team will continue its winning streak in the five-match ODI series against New Zealand.“We have won nine matches in a row because we are playing as a unit, not individuals,” he mentioned while talking after the toss.Pakistan made three changes in the final XI that took in Sri Lanka last October — its most recent ODI.
Opening batsman Azhar Ali has returned to the side in place of Imam ul Haq, while fast bowling duo Rumman Raees and Mohammad Aamir are back in place of injured Imad Wasim and Usman Khan Shinwari.
