International Monetary Fund director Masood Ahmed Khan has said that Pakistani economy has improved due to govt. policies but government will have to increase tax to increase income.
According to a report by US Newspaper Wall Street Journal, IMF Director Masood Ahmed Khan after his return from Islamabad stated in Washington that inflation has declined due to Pakistan’s current policies.
Masood Ahmed Khan said that the decline in inflation was due to reduction in interest rates by State Bank and other policies. He said that inflation rate is slowly declining. Masood Khan suggested that Pakistan must increase tax base to earn more income. Masood Ahmed Khan said that these steps will also be helpful to reduce the debt and income will increase.
