ISLAMABAD: A business conference will take place on Friday (today) where certain Pakistani and Malaysian companies will do signatures on a few Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs).
Prime Minister Imran Khan and his Malaysian counterpart Mahathir Mohammad who arrived in Islamabad on Thursday night will also be in attendance at the conference.
Advisor on Trade and Commerce to Prime Minister Razaq Dawood and Chairman ‘Pakistan Board of Investment’ Haroon Sharif will also participate in the important business meeting between Pakistan and Malaysia.
Earlier on Thursday, Prime Minister Imran Khan received Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad at Noor Khan airbase on his arrival at a three-day visit to Pakistan.
The guest was given 21 gun-salute on his arrival.
The Malaysian Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation including several leading businessmen.
During his stay, Dr Mahathir Mohamad will be the Guest of Honour at the Pakistan Day Parade on 23rd March.
The Malaysian Prime Minister’s bilateral engagements also include a call on President Arif Alvi and a one-on-one meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan followed by delegation level talks.
The two Prime Ministers will also speak at the Roundtable meeting of the CEOs of industries, who desire to invest in automobile and telecommunication sectors of Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal, in a statement said the visit of the Malaysian Prime Minister will further cement the existing brotherly and friendly relations between the two countries.
