ISLAMABAD: A Pakistani pilgrim lost her life as a bus carrying 51 Pakistani pilgrims hit a security check post near Samarra, Iraq.
According to the foreign office, 51 passengers with minor injuries were treated and have been discharged. As of now 47 passengers were in good health, whereas 2 passengers remain admitted in the hospital due to serious injuries.
The killed passenger has been identified as Umar Hayat. “The embassy in Baghdad is arranging the safe return of the pilgrims to Pakistan in coordination with the Iraqi authorities,” the press release added.
