ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi says the government will gradually bring back the Pakistanis in foreign countries desiring to return to the homeland.

In a statement on Thursday, he said National Coordination Committee on Wednesday approved the restoration of seventeen flights.

The Foreign Minister said our first priority is to bring back Pakistanis stranded in transit while Pakistanis, whose visas have expired, are the second priority. He said our third priority is to repatriate Pakistanis and students waiting in foreign countries to return to the country.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said international flights have been announced between the fourth and eleventh of this month.

He said all these passengers will go through corona testing at the airport; therefore, testing and quarantine capacities are being gradually enhanced.

He said flights for Karachi will also be opened if the protocol is strictly implemented.
