Islamabad (July7, 2017): The meeting of Islamabad of the joint investigation team probing Sharif family’s offshore holdings started at Federal Judicial Academy (FJA) in Islamabad on Friday.
The meeting is being presided over by Wajid Zia, head of the JIT and additional director general Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

All six members of the team are participating in the meeting. The said that the team is working on preparation of its final report which it has to be submitted on July 10, 2017.
Sources said that that the members of the team were reviewing the statements of the high profiles personalities it recorded to prepare its report.
They added that following the completing recording statements and questioning high profile personalities including Prime Minister Nawaz Shairf and his children, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Shairf and others, the JIT had started preparing its final report.
On Thursday, Chief Justice of Pakistan constituted a three-member bench headed by Justice Aijaz Afzal to review the final findings of the Panama Joint Investigation Team (JIT), formed for probing Sharif family wealth abroad.
The three-member bench in its hearing, which will be held on July 10, will get a review of JIT final. On June 22, the three-member implementation bench had directed the JIT members to complete their work till July 10.
On April 20, the Supreme Court had, by a majority verdict of three to two, ordered the constitution of the JIT to probe the assets of the prime minister and his children.
On May 6, the Supreme Court had formed the much-awaited six-member joint investigation team (JIT), headed by a senior officer of the Federal Investigation Agency, to probe allegations stemming from the Panama Papers leaks about assets of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his children.
