Islamabad (May 24, 2017): The meeting of joint investigation team constituted by the Supreme Court to probe Sharif family’s business dealings abroad started at Federal Judicial Academy, which will take a decision on issuing notices to Prime Minister’s children asking them to appear before the team.
All six member of the JIT are attending the meeting, which is being presided over by Wajid Zia, head of the JIT.

Sources said that the JIT members will discuss the matter of issuing notice to Prime Minister’s children summoning them to appear before the team.
It is to be mentioned here that on Monday the JIT presented 15-day progress report before the special implementation bench of the Supreme Court. The bench had directed the team to complete the investigation within the given time-frame of 60 days.
During Monday’s hearing, SC bench headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan heard the implementation case of Panama verdict. Wajid Zia had submitted the sealed report relating to progress in the investigation so far made by the JIT.
Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan while addressing the head of JIT Wajid Zia had said that it should be kept in mind the investigation needed to be completed within 60 days. The court had rejected PTI counsel Fawad Chaudhry’s plea to give the progress report of the JIT to them.
The bench had declared that till completion of the investigation nothing would be made public or shared with anyone. The judge asked the JIT head to inform the bench if the team had any issues with any department or anyone was not cooperating with it.
