Paragon Case: Khawaja Brothers To Appear Before AC Today

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) senior leaders Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Khawaja Salman Rafique will appear before Accountability Court Lahore on Thursday (today) as their judicial remand has ended in Paragon Housing Scheme scandal case.

According to details, AC Judge Najmul Hasan Bukhari will hear the case with the under-arrest Khawaja brothers in attendance at the hearing session.

Previously on March 19, AC Islamabad extended judicial remand of the Khawaja brothers till April 04.

Strict security measures were taken around the court premises. Roads leading to the court were blocked with containers and barbed wires.

It may be pertinent to mention that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested the politician brothers on December 11, 2018, after their interim bail plea was dismissed by Lahore High Court (LHC).

Khawaja brothers, according to allegations imposed by NAB, are financially benefitting themselves by doing corruption in the Paragon City project.

NAB claims that Khawaja Saad, Khawaja Salman and Nadeem Zia sold 800 marla land which was worth Rs4 billion.
