ISLAMABAD: The joint session of the parliament on Monday approved three bills including making country only Airline, Pakistan International Airline (PIA) as private limited company.
At the occasion the government has also announced to withdraw cases against the PIA’s employees. Awami National Party (ANP) walked out of the session over not taking into the confidence by the government. The government benches also made a fuss over opposition parties decided to make panama issue a matter of discussion in the session.
According to the details, the joint session of upper and lower house today approved a bill to make PIA a limited company. The bill was presented in the session by federal minister Zahid Hamid. Before that so much uproar was hued in the session over panama leak issue largely by the government benches who was against making the panama leak issue the discussion issue of the session.
The government members stood out their benches chanting slogans. On the other side opposition looked stick to their demand of making the panama leaks the discussion issue of the today’s session.
Opposition leader Khursheed Shah opined that it would be better that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif come to the parliament to clarify the panama issue. While Aitzaz said that admission of crime in the panama leaks have been made and claimed that ministers were disturbed on the issue adding that even retired judges were not agreed to be part of judicial commission.
