KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday summoned Prosecutor General Sindh Ayaz Tunio on May 15 in Parveen Rehman murder case.
As per details, the SHC-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Ahmed Ali Shaikh resumed hearing on the murder of Orangi Pilot Project’s (OPP) Director and social activist Parveen Rehman.
In the hearing, Chief Justice inquired about the progress achieved by the constituted Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in probe of the case.
“Supreme Court had issued directives of forming a JIT. What have been its findings yet?”, he quizzed.
Accused’s lawyer Imran Swati responded that JIT had previously been constituted thrice.
However, CJ reiterated his call regarding briefing on findings achieved by JIT.
The court then adjourned hearing of the case, issuing orders of summoning to Prosecutor General Sindh on May 15.
