Pathanay Khan Being Remembered On His 19th Death Anniversary

MULTAN: Today marked as the 19th death anniversary of famous folk singer Pakistan.

Pathanay Khan mostly sung Kafis which were based upon the poetry of Baba Bullay Shah, Khuwaja Ghulam Fareed, Mehar Ali Shah and many other popular poets.

Pathanay Khan was born in a small village in Kot Addu(a town in Punjab) in 1926.

His Most Popular Songs were ‘Alif Allah Chambay Di Booti’ and ‘ Meeda Ishq Vee Toon’.

He received the presidential award for his service in the field of music in 1979.

He was died in his home town Kot Addu after a prolonged illness on 9th March 2000.
