LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shehryar Khan has finally remembered wicket-keeper cum batsman Sarfraz Ahmed and asked skipper Misbah-ul-Haq to include him as opening batsman in next match to be played against United Arab Emirates (UAE) on March 4, 2015.
Shehryar Khan congratulated national cricket team over their first victory in the World Cup 2015 against Zimbabwe. He ordered Misbah to include Sarfraz Ahmed as opening batsman in upcoming match.
However, Misbah seemed went contrary to Shehryar’s orders as announced ‘cannot take risk of Sarfraz Ahmed as opener.’ while conducting press conference post match.
Misbah’s statement surprised many after exhibition of worst performance of current opening batsmen who played against India and West Indies as Ahmed Shehzad scored 48, Nasir Jamshed 1 while Younis Khan made 6 runs in last two matches in the tournament.
