LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to continue with Sarfraz Ahmed as captain of the national side for the mega event World Cup 2019.
According to sources, PCB is set to announce their decision of continuing Sarfraz Ahmed as Pakistan cricket team’s captain in a presser today.
PCB sources reported that the main objective of holding a press conference for the announcement of captain is to eliminate all ongoing gossips and rumours on the affair.
It is noteworthy to mention that Sarfraz Ahmed is under suspension of four games by the International Cricket Council (ICC) after he was caught by the stump microphone, passing a controversial remark to South African allrounder Adile Pheklukwayo in the second One-day International between Pakistan and Proteas.
Although, Sarfarz was quick to apologize for his words and also took it to Twitter to claim responsibility of the incident, issuing his apology to everyone offended.
