Former leg spinner and chief selector Abdul Qadir criticised the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and national team management via declaring them responsible for defeat against India in World Cup 2015.
Abdul Qadir while talking to Indian media said that Green Shirts lost the match against India due to absence of star spinner Saeed Ajmal. He claimed that India could be restricted to score below 300 in presence of Saeed Ajmal despite his new bowling action.
He criticed PCB and team management over ignoring Saeed Ajmal while replacing injured Mohammad Hafeez in the World Cup squad. Qadir questioned PCB regarding the results after sending ‘out of form’ Nasir Jamshed who had failed to exhibit proper performance in most important match of the event.
Qadir said that PCB should take risk to include Saeed Ajmal in the squad which definitely increase pressure on the opponents. He claimed that Ajmal would become familiar with international cricket soon because of his experience.
On the other hand, star spinner Saeed Ajmal said that it was a sorrowful experience to watch Pakistan’s defeat in the World Cup match against India. The star spinner announced that he would be available for the national team at any emergency situation. He expressed his believes that he would be an effective weapon with his new bowling action, however, the inclusion in the squad was not in his hands.
