A new cold wave of rain and snowfall will enter in the country next week, while PDMA has issued high-alert in Baluchistan and directed to avoid unnecessary travelling as well as directed the department personnel to remain present along with machinery on national highways.
According to note released by National Disaster Management Authority, high-alert has been issued in the whole province, while in view of making rescue operation more effective, PDMA Baluchistan was further provided with four more helicopters.
According to directions released by PDMA Baluchistan, torrential rain and snowfall is likely for four days in 13 districts of three divisions in the province, which included District Quetta, Kalat, Mastung, Bolan, Qila Saifullah, Loralai, Pashin, Zhob, Ziarat, Shirani, Hernai, Moosa Khel and Barkhan.
PDMA also formed a crisis management cell in control room located in Quetta and directed the citizens to avoid unnecessary travelling as well as to keep house roofs clean from time to time.
The vacations of PDMA employees have been cancelled after Meteorological department predicted for rain and snowfall from Sunday to Wednesday, while distribution of relief goods in different areas of Baluchistan continues after recent snowfall.
