Islamabad: Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan says people have become sick of the double standards of the opposition as it objects opening of mosques, while on the other hand, it is anxious to open the parliament.
In a series of tweets, she said the government has no objection, but it should also be kept in view that the convening session of the National Assembly is prerogative of the Speaker.

The Special Assistant said the opposition is kept changing its stance and narrative as per its ease and desire. He said they should not consider people of Pakistan as fools as they understand opposition’s double standards.
She said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leadership is a live example of contradictions in acts and sayings. She said, on the one hand, PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif is not ready to appear before the three-member team of the National Accountability Bureau to answer some queries out of the fear of Coronavirus and insists on maintaining social distancing. While on the other hand, PML-N leadership is insistent on the convening session of the parliament, she said.
