LAHORE: Maryam Nawaz along with other family members called on her father Nawaz Sharif in the Kot Lakhpat Jail on a routine family allowed on Thursday.
In the weekly meeting on Thursday, Maryam Nawaz her daughter Mehar Unisa along with others met ex-premier Nawaz Sharif while the meet-up continued up to two hours.
Sources said that Maryam Nawaz Sharif apprised her father in detail regarding her appearance before the court in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
Lifetime chief of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Nawaz Sharif expressed his concerns over the hike in petroleum prices adding that petrol has also been made inaccessible to the people after the increase in dollar prices who are already suppressed under the inflation.
Nawaz Sharif alleged that the government is sucking the blood of the masses while he also expressed his anger over lodging of the cases against the PML-N leaders and workers.
He said that anti-corruption department team came in the jail to probe him about the matters what he has forgotten now adding that the government should show the notice to people regarding baning Maryam Nawaz coverage on the news channels and newspapers and in the media while he also asked the government why Maryam Nawaz voice has been silenced.
Sources said that personnel physician of the ex-premier also examined him while Maryam Nawaz took the guidance of his father regarding upcoming rallies in, Pakpatan, Khushab, Sargodha on 2, 4 and 6 August.
