ISLAMABAD: A petition has been filed in Islamabad High Court (IHC) for disqualification of Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry.
Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry, Election Commission of Pakistan have been made respondent in the petition.
It is opined in the petition that the Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry hide his assets in the nomination papers and didn’t provide correct information to the Election Commission of Pakistan.
It was insisted in the petition that Fawad Chauhdry didn’t fulfill criteria of article 62 and 63 of the constitution. Henceforth he should be declared disqualified and withdrew his perks and privileges as the member of National Assembly.
It was also prayed from the court to order lodging of a criminal case against him.
Journalist Sami Ullah Ibrahim has filed the petition through his counsel Raja Rizwan Abbassi.
