PFA Seals Candy Factory in Sargodha

Sargodha (June 18, 2017) Punjab Food Authority on Saturday sealed a chocolate and candy factory in Sargodha over using toxic chemicals and apprehended the factory owner.

According to the details, PFA officials along with special branch police conducted raid at a candy factory in  Muhammadīā Colony, Sargodha. The officials found that toxic chemicals were being used for coloring the candies and chocolates.

The PFA sealed the factory and confiscated the stock of unhygienic candies and chocolates. Police arrested Shahid Mughal, the factory owner and registered a case against him. The owner threatened serious consequences to PFA and the police on the occasion. Police said that Shahid was running the vicious business under the shelter of a political party.
