PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court Judge Justice Muhammad Ayub Khan Marwat was attacked by unknown armed assailants and wounded after sustaining bullets here on Thursday morning, police said.
According to Superintendent of police (SP) Cantt Qaseem Riaz, the Justice Ayub was injured when unknown armed assailants attacked his car in Phase 5 area of Hayatabad.
The justice Ayub was immediately shifted to hospital for medical treatment, added SP Riaz.
Before being promoted as a justice in PHC he served as judge of accountability court in Peshawar.
Justice Ayub also served as district and sessions judge and remained posted in different districts. Earlier, he also served as a registrar in the PHC.
