ISLAMABAD: In the case pertaining to national carrier Pakistan International Airlines privatization, Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed remarked that we will not allow closure of state institution like the PIA.
During the hearing of losses in PIA Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday sought details of cases pertaining to fake degrees of employees working in Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed said that pilots having fake degrees are flying planes. The news of PIA privatization is a ‘joke’ with this prestigious national department, he added.
The top judge said that 700 employees work on one aircraft in PIA. He further directed Attorney General to review audit report and assist the court in next hearing.
