Karachi (May 22, 2017): The spokesperson of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Mashhood Tajwar has claimed that the organized mafia behind drug smuggling attempts to abroad.
Exclusively talking to Abbtakk News, Tajwar said that it was regretful to have heroin on PIA flights but it was not individual’s design. He said there should be an organized mafia was working behind the smuggling.

“Strict steps will be taken to expose mafia behind heroin smuggling,” he said flights were completely checked before take offs as heroin was recovered during search operation.
The President of Pakistan Air Lines Pilots’ Association (PALPA) Captain Retd Khalid Hamza also spoke to Abbtakk News and asked a crucial question that how had heroin brought to the plane?

“It shows airport administration, engineering department and catering staff involved in this heinous crime,” he said that the heroin smuggling menace had taken roots from Asia to London and Africa to London.
“Presence of heroin time and again in same flight a question mark for investigative agencies,” he said demanding that the people involved in this menace should be taken to task as all probe should be made public.
Earlier, Air Security Force (ASF) and Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) have foiled an attempt to smuggle 20 kilograms of heroin from PIA London bout flight and five accused have taken into custody in this connection.
According to the details, a bid to smuggle heroin was foiled at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport on Monday when 2o kilogrammes of the contraband was seized from a London-bound flight of the national carrier. Although the plane was cleared to fly to London, the smuggler remained unidentified.
The drugs were found by the Pakistan International Airlines’ vigilance team concealed in catering galley of PK-785.
