ISLAMABAD: AccountabilityCourt of Islamabad on Wednesday issued directives to all suspects to ensure their presence in next hearing of Pinky Residency reference, ordering issuance of reference’s copies to all accused.
Judge Mohammad Arshad Malik of the Accountabililty Court took up the refernce connected with Fake Bank Accounts Case.
All under-arrest 15 accused including Mohammad Shabbir, Aftab Memon, Abdul Jabbar Memon were produced before the court.
However, key suspect Abdul Ghani Majeed was not produced from Karachi’s Malir jail.
At outset of the hearing, Abdul Ghani’s lawyer demanded National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to give a response on why it did not produce his client.
NAB Investigation officer responded that he was unaware Karachi chapter of the Anti-graft watchdog had taken Ghani Majeed in their custody.
Later, NAB officials produced the key suspect before AC after the hearing got adjourned and confirmed that his arrest had taken place.
