Louisiana (January 11, 2017): Doggy daycare worker killed by pit bull in violent attack ‘as she was trying to feed it’Police are investigating after a doggy daycare worker was mauled to death by a pit bull.
Laura Ray was fatally attacked at the Happy Hound Hotel in West Monroe, Louisiana, at around 11pm on Tuesday night.It is believed she had been trying to feed the animal at the time when it became violent.
The animal weighed just 50lbs (22kg), police said.
The dog was being boarded at the Happy Hound Hotel for the first time and the owner had signed papers saying that the dog was not aggressive.
The dog, which has not yet been identified, had never attacked anyone before, it was claimed.
The killer is now in the care of Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter – it is not known whether it will be euthanised or not.
