PM Abbasi Calls Strengthening Democracy Top Priority

Murree (October 5, 2017): Calling strengthening of democratic traditions imperative for the development of any country Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that strengthening democracy is his top priority.

Addressing the 166th Foundation Day ceremony of his alma mater Lawrence College, Ghora Gali here on the occasion of International Teachers Day today Prime Minister Abbasi said that the guiding principles that his pedagogues 42 years ago at the College still remain the beacons for him.

I have pleasant memories of this great institution, which is another name of quality education, where I studied 42 years ago. Lawrence College Ghora Gali has not only given great students but also decent human beings to our society, he added.Thanking the winning team of Quiad-e-Azam Shield the prime minister that the pleasant memories of his college colleagues and teachers will also remain with him.Lauding Pakistan’s crucial role in war against terrorism Prime Minister Abbasi said that Pakistan’s armed forces are fighting the terrorism  with utmost bravery. Pakistan has given sacrifices of thousands of lives to crush terrorism.
