ISLAMABAD: Indirectly referring to Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday said that former presidents and prime ministers are failing to prove themselves not guilty before the court.
Prime Minister was speaking to a ceremony organized for minorities at President House in Islamabad.
Addressing the claims of opposition that ruling PTI was carrying out selective and political revenge in name of accountability, Prime Minister rubbished the allegations and said that no one is above the law in Islam.
“When hegemony is absent, the law treats the weak and powerful in a different manner. Unfortunately, such is the case in our country”, Premier regretted.
PM said that the government will protect and develop worship places of minorities in the country and also facilitate them to the maximum level to perform their religious rituals.
He added that the incumbent government is committed to open Kartarpur Corridor for Sikh community on 550th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak.
