KARACHI: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday has announced a Karachi Package of Rs 162 billion.

As per details, PM chaired a meeting of Karachi Transformation Committee in which he approved a Karachi package of worth Rs 162 billion.

The prestigious Karachi Package will cover the expenditure of 18 mega projects in the metropolis. The PM also approved the construction of a University in Hyderabad.

Addressing to the meeting, the PM said, “Pakistan cannot progress without the development of its financial hub (Karachi).”

“Pakistan is under financial crisis, most of its income is being spent on paying back country’s loans,” he added.

“We will launch an awareness campaign in Karachi for saving water,” he further added.

“A proper planning is needed to overcome the growing population in Karachi,” he concluded.

The PM also approved the construction of a university in Hyderabad. The PM will lay its foundation stone on April 5.
