ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan approved a revised system of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) aimed at a new cricket structure in the country.
Sources said that Prime Minister Imran Khan approved the new cricket structure as the patron-in-chief of the PCB.
The notification issued by the PCB has contained PM instruction for departments to cooperate in the new system
All the government and private institutions having a cricket team have been directed to cooperate with the PCB in the new system, the notification added.
In this connection, the PM house has sent the instructions to 11 institutions.
The institutions include WAPDA, SNGPL, State Bank of Pakistan, National Bank, KRL, PTV, ZTBL, PIA, Railways and CAA.
It is pertinent to mention here that PCB had informed on May 9 that no change was being made in the domestic cricket structure while it has been decided to raise salaries of regional cricketers.
In the same way, the numbers of teams in grade two of patron’s trophy have been increased up to 16.
