PM Approves Pakistan-Russia Gas Plant Project in Jamshoro

Islamabad (October 4, 2017): The federal cabinet approved the construction of 600MW Natural Gas Combined Cycle (NGCC) power plant in Jamshoro.

The cabinet meeting which was chaired by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, grant an initiation of agreement between Pakistan and Russia for the Construction of 600 Mega Watt Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant in Jamshoro.PM also appointed Air Marshal Ahmed Shehzad as the Chairman of Pakistan aeronautical complex.

During the meeting, PM briefed about matters related to Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs. He lauds performance and objectives of Ministry for development of Pakistan.The cabinet approved establishment of Insurance Tribunals at Lahore and Multan. The cabinet also approved tax exemption to Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited from Pakistan Stock Exchange.

The cabinet approved major agreements such as, Intellectual Property Rights with China, Memorandum of economic cooperation with Germany and economic cooperation with Korea and Qatar. The Cabinet also approved the elimination of double tax eradication with Canada.
