LAHORE: The Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday has given the approval for the setting up of shelter homes in the major hospitals of Punjab.
The PM gave approval during a meeting with Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar in Lahore.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Lahore and held one-to-one meetings with Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Governor Chaudhry Sarwar.
Later, other ministers and officials have also met with him.
Punjab CM briefed the premier over the matters of the province following which the latter directed to give priority to steps aimed at providing relief to the public.
Punjab Governor apprised PM Khan of clean water projects and matters pertaining to universities. Provincial matters were also discussed during their meeting.
The meeting has also decided to open the interior portion of the historic building of governor house on Saturday and Sunday.
