ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday urged the business community to play its due role in achieving economic stability.
Talking to a delegation of leading businessmen in Islamabad, PM Khan said some elements are trying to create an environment of economic uncertainty in the country.
“Government and business community can resolve the economic problems collectively,” he added.
The businessmen, representing all leading Chambers of the country presented various proposals to boost economic activities and consolidate the economy in the short and long terms.
Economic situation of the country, staff-level agreement with the IMF, the current market situation were discussed in detail during the meeting.
The meeting was attended by finance advisor Hafeez Sheikh, Chairman FBR, Chairman State Bank and other officials.
