ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has instructed to make the country’s capital a model city and regarding the environment and the spread the campaign throughout the country.
Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday presided a huddle on the environment which was briefed by Prime Minister Adviser on the environment, Malik Amin Aslam on “clean and green Pakistan index” in detail on related projects and other initiatives for environmental protection.
The PM briefed that the ten billion tree tsunami project planning on the provincial level has been completed while as many as 3.15 billion trees will be planted and it will be reviewed after two years.
The adviser on environment informed that encouraging results received on the initiation of a ban on plastic bags implemented in Islamabad.
Praising the initiatives for protection of environment and promotion of greenery in the country, Prime Minister said that inclusion of every strata of society to be ensured in the measures regarding the safeguarding the environment while he suggested that students and schools active participation must be ensured and concentrated especially to make the campaign banning plstic bags a success.
Baber Awan also called on the premier discussing world situation on Kashmir and legal matters on the issue.
