ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Thursday chaired national internal security committee meeting wherein Financial Action Task Force (FATF) recommendations, action against banned outfits and extremist deliberated upon.
The huddle in the chair of PM attended by Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI) Chief, various Director Generals of Intelligence Bureau (IB), Foreign minister, Finance Minister, Education Minister, Minister of religious affairs and Ministry for the state for interior.
Besides that chief secretaries and Inspector General of police of all provinces were also present.
The vital meeting under the chair of the premier discussed progress made on National Action Plan (NAP) and reviewed FATF recommendations. While the action against proscribed organizations and extremist elements also came into discussion.
The premier was also briefed on the security situation on the eastern and western borders in the meeting while Minister for the state on Interior Shaharyar Afridi gave detail briefing on action taken under the NAP on which the premier expressed satisfaction.
