Peshawar (September 28, 2018): Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed for early completion of FATA reforms.
Presiding over a meeting in Peshawar today, he said that people of the tribal districts will benefit from these reforms.
Prime Minister was briefed about the performance of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and implementation of hundred days plan.
Imran Khan was also briefed about the steps being taken for holding of local government elections in those tribal areas which have recently been merged in the province.
The meeting was attended beside others by Governor Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Shah Farman and Chief Minister Mahmood Khan.
Earlier during his meeting with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet in Peshawar, Prime Minister also directed to complete Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit project and Swat Motorway in time.
The Prime Minister said all projects should be completed within the stipulated time and with utmost transparency.
He also directed to take more steps for the promotion of tourism in the province. He said setting up of hospitals’ boards and administrative reforms in the health sector should be completed at the earliest.
Imran Khan asked the provincial government to launch an anti-encroachment drive in the province on the pattern of the same being spearheaded by the federal government in Islamabad.
He said the KP government should vigorously support the national cleanliness drive. The Prime Minister was briefed about the ongoing projects in the province.
Earlier Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Peshawar on a day-long visit.
The governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Shah Ferman and chief minister Mehmood Khan welcomed him on his arrival in the capital of the province.

Prime Minister’s Advisor on Establishment Muhammad Shahzad Arbab, Special Assistant on Political Affairs Naeemul Haq, Special Assistant for Media Iftikhar Durrani and senior officials were accompanying the prime minister.
After assuming the charge of Prime Minister it was his first visit to Peshawar.
