PM Imran Greets UAE Over 47th National Day

Islamabad (December 02, 2018): Prime Minister Imran Khan has extended good wishes to the ally United Arab Emirates (UAE) on its 47th National Day.

The Premier, in his message, has said that the relations between both Pakistan and UAE are based on mutual support and cooperation.

Prime Minister said, “The development, prosperity and good governance of United Arab Emirates is an example for the world which is achieved in a short period of 47 years.”The Prime Minister also expressed his wishes and sentiments on behalf of government and people of Pakistan to the leadership of United Arab Emirates praying for its development and prosperity.

Earlier on November 18, Prime Minister reached Abu Dhabi, UAE on the invitation of Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan.During his visit, Prime Minister held a meeting with his counterpart and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid al Maktoum at Zabeel Palace in Dubai.

They exchanged views on regional situation and matters of bilateral interest.

Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates agreed to transform their bilateral relations into Long-Term Strategic Economic Partnership.

The concurrence came during talks between Prime Minister Imran Khan and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan in Abu Dhabi.Expressing satisfaction at the positive trajectory of relations, the two leaders agreed to take immediate measures to further elevate their historic partnership.

The two sides agreed to chalk out a comprehensive roadmap to accelerate cooperation and partnership in areas encompassing trade, investment, economic development, energy, infrastructure and agriculture.

Prime Minister Imran Khan briefed the UAE leadership about his government’s people-centric reform agenda including the steps being taken to eliminate corruption and promote transparency and accountability at all levels of government.Moreover, Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi too where he was received by Director General of the Mosque Yousef Alobaidli.

Imran Khan offered prayer and appreciated the grandeur of the mosque.

The Prime Minister also visited Martyr Square (Wahat Al Karam) Abu Dhabi where he laid the wreath at the memorial at the Square.
