Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has called the National Coordination Committee meeting on the construction of five lakhs cheap housing units today.
Officials from Ministry of housing, planning, deputy governor State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), chief secretaries of all four provinces, Chief secretaries of Gilgit and Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and other respective officers will attend the meeting.
Chairman Naya Pakistan Housing Society Authority will brief the premier.
The committee will review progress on continued housing projects while it will determine hurdles in housing industry and give suggestions for removal.
The committee will act as a focal point between ministries and provinces while Chairman Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority is the coveynor of the committee.
The conveynor will inform the PM about progess in the projects twice in the week.
