PM Imran Convenes Meeting To Review Punjab’s LG    

Islamabad (September 02, 2018): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday convened a meeting to discuss suggestions to improve the local body government in Punjab.Several Parliamentary members, governmental officials and experts are likely to attend the meeting.

During the meeting, Prime Minister will discuss the issue of local body government of Punjab and changing in the system for improvement.Moreover, for the implementation of suggestions, a task force or a committee is expected to be formed for the betterment of municipal system.

Earlier on August 31, the Punjab information minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan had said that provincial government decided to revamp local bodies system.

Briefing media over the provincial cabinet decision information minister said that during the cabinet meeting ministers were served with biscuit and tea following the PM Imran footsteps of being simple and austerity.

Commenting over police reforms, the provincial minister said that it was decided to make Punjab police apolitical and for the purpose legislation will be made before November 30 so that police could be get pulled out from political influence.

He also informed that health cars having the value of .5 million will be launched from November 30.
“All the appointment in Punjab will be made through public service commission, however new appointment will be banned till the announcement of new police in this connection,” he said.He went on saying that each officer and minister can only single vehicle as a bill soon be introduced so that each citizen could access the state information.
Explaining policy over artists, he said that an art academy will be set up that will award a degree in film and TV.

“All the bureaucracy will now follow PTI vision as corruption free projects of a provision of drinking water will be initiated soon,” he said.
