ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed anger over the Pakistan Television performance on Monday and directed the MD to draft an alternate plan to improve PTV.
According to sources, information and broadcasting minister Fawad Chaudhry wrote a letter to Managing Director PTV Arshad Khan and warned him that he was writing a letter to him for several times, however, he did not make positive changes.
“PTV administration has failed to improve the financial condition of the important state institution and even it has not to draft any strategy to overcome the deficit,” he said in his letter.
He reminded that PTV administration had failed to draft business plan despite instruction time and again and if PTV plans would not change it would have been closed soon.
Information minister mentioned that PTV failed in to get PSL auction and the first time in the history he failed to get the right of the Pak-South Africa series, hundreds of PTV employees are not getting the pension while PTV has not taken any concrete step to solve their issue.
