ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday expressed grief over the loss of precious life in a terrorist attack in two mosques of New Zealand on last Friday as he telephoned New Zealand premier Jacinda Ardern.
Premier Imran Khan lauded immediate measures taken by local administration just after the horrific terrorist attack while he also appreciated exemplary solidarity, sympathy and apathy shown by the New Zealand leadership with the Muslims.
The PM apprised the New Zealand counterpart that Pakistan also faced terrorism and stood with the government and people of New Zealand as they faced the menace.
New Zealand premier briefed the Pakistani counterpart about the initiatives taken by the government after the heinous crime claiming 50 precious lives while she also lauded bravery of Pakistan Naeem Rashid who sacrifices his life for saving the life of others.
The PM also invited the New Zealand PM to visit Pakistan in the near future.
It is also pertinent to mention that as many as 50 Muslims have been brutally shot dead by terrorists in two mosques in Christchurch New Zealand when they were preparing for Friday prayers.
