ISLAMABAD: Firdous Ashiq Awan, Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Information and Broadcasting on Wednesday made it clear to the former premier Shahid Khaqan and other spokespersons of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) that incarcerated Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was sentenced by the courts and Imran Khan led federal government has no role in it.
Firdous Ashiq took to Twitter and slammed PML-N for leveling baseless allegations against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) led federal government in series of her tweets.
She wrote on her timeline; “Ahsan Iqbal should answer the allegations of federal minister Murad Saeed as his crimes are being proved through government documents.”

“The previous government destroyed the nation’s economy for the sake of personal interest,” she added.
In another tweet, she said, “The former premier Shahid Khaqan and spokespersons of PML-N should be very clear that the incarcerated former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was punished by the courts and Imran Khan has no role in that.”

“None of us barred you from proving your innocence before the courts but you presented a letter of a Qatari prince instead of any solid evidence,” she further added.

Firdous Ashiq in her final tweet said, “Former premier Khaqan Abbasi also caused a loss of Rs260 million to the national exchequer while following the footsteps.”
