WASHINGTON: In a bid to attract foreign investment in the country, Prime Minister Imran Khan has invited prominent Pakistani businessmen residing in the United States to benefit from the investment opportunities in Pakistan.
The Premier rolled out invitation during a meeting with US investors delegation led by Javed Anwar in Washington DC on Sunday.
The investors appreciated improved security environment in Pakistan and identified areas of interest with regard to investment in key sectors including energy and tourism.
On this occasion, PM Khan lauded the contribution of overseas Pakistanis and recalled their “whole-hearted” financial aids for Shaukat Khanum Hospital.
Prime Minister Imran Khan had landed in Washington D.C in the wee hours of Sunday via a commercial flight.
According to the schedule, Prime minister will meet US President Donald Trump tomorrow (July 22).
He will also engage with the major corporate and financial leaders, media personnel and opinion-makers.
President of the World Bank and Managing Director of the IMF will call on the Prime Minister on Sunday.
