PM Imran Khan Condemns Attack On Mosques In New Zealand

ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister Of Pakistan Imran Khan on Friday condemned the brutal attack on two mosques in New Zealand’s Christchurch city during Friday prayers.

Imran Khan took to Twitter and condemned the brutal attack on the mosques in Christchurch in a couple of his tweets.

He tweeted on his timeline; “Shocked and strongly condemn the Christchurch, New Zealand, terrorist attack on mosques.”

“This reaffirms what we have always maintained: that terrorism does not have a religion,” he added.

“Prayers go to the victims and their families,” he further added.

“I blame these increasing terror attacks on the current Islamophobia post-9/11 where Islam & 1.3 bn Muslims have collectively been blamed for any act of terror by a Muslim,” he said.

“This has been done deliberately to also demonize legitimate Muslim political struggles,” he concluded.

Earlier today, at least 40 people were killed and dozens of others were injured in a mass shooting incident at two mosques in New Zealand’s city of Christchurch with Bangladeshi cricketers narrowly escaping the attack unhurt.
