PM Imran, Malaysian King Discuss Bilateral Ties

Kuala Lumpur (November 21, 2018): Prime Minister Imran Khan called Malaysian King Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah at King’s Palace in Kuala Lumpur.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Finance Minister Asad Umar, Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua and Pakistan’s High Commissioner in Malaysia, Muhammad Nafees Zakaria were also present during the meeting.

Both the leaders discussed the bilateral relationship and the ways to further enhance the economic ties in future. The Malaysian king lauded the Pakistan efforts in the establishment of peace in the region particularly to solve Afghan dispute and war in terror.

The PM Imran hailed the King’s role in the progress of Malaysia and extended the best wishes for him from the Pakistanis.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Headquarters.

The Chief Commissioner of the Anti-Corruption Commission Datuk Sri Shukri Abdul gave a briefing to the Prime Minister about the working of the Commission.

Earlier, Pakistan and Malaysia on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the partial abolition of visa between the two countries.
