ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday has directed authorities to launch a crackdown against illegal gas connections across the country.
Presiding over a meeting regarding the prevention of gas losses in Islamabad, the PM directed to take actions against personnel of gas companies who are facilitating in gas theft.
The Premier was briefed that gas companies are facing the loss of worth 19 billion rupees in theft, 11.25 billion rupees in leakage and approximately 14.50 billion rupees in other reasons.
He directed authorities to take all possible measures in order to curb these losses.
The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Asad Umar, Minister Petroleum Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Information Minister Chaudhary Fawad Hussain and others.
