ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan is chairing a federal cabinet meeting in Islamabad to discuss a 19-point agenda.
According to sources, the cabinet members will give approval for new electricity tariff in the meeting.
Appointment of a new secretary of Government’s agency ‘Pakistan Board of Investment’ is also part of the agenda.
The 19-point agenda includes the appointment of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pakistan International Airlines Corporation (PIA).
Approval for handing over of FATA’s funds to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will also take place during the meeting.
Whereas, consideration on the summary of social security and poverty alleviation division for the eradication of poverty.
Practical imposition on approvals carried out in previous Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) meetings will also take place during the meeting.
Moreover, a summary will be presented before the prime minister regarding the ban on coverage of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Another report on possible embezzlement in funds issued for construction of the new Islamabad Airport will also be presented before the federal cabinet members.
