PM must explain how he amassed so much wealth from 1980 to 2016: JI chief

ISLAMABAD: Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq on Wednesday said that Panamagate case was not against any individual,  saying that the future of 200 millions people of this country was linked with the case.

Talking to media after hearing of the case, the JI chief said that Nawaz Sahrif must explain how he amassed so much wealth from 1980 to 2016.

He added that JI wrote letter to different institution for investigation into Panamagate case, but NAB did not paid any heed. He added that they approached the court after the failure of all institutions to investigate the scandal.

Haq said that every year billion of rupees were spent on investigative agencies and anti-graft bodies but despite that their performance remained zero.

He added that after the accountability of the Prime Minister’s family the process of accountability of other 600 people named in Panama would start.
