ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday strongly condemned the Lahore suicide attack and paid tributes to the soldiers of Pakistan Army martyred in the terror incident.
According to a Prime Minister’s House spokesman, the Prime Minister expressed his grief and sorrow over loss of lives in the suicide attack on a census team in Lahore. The Prime Minister prayed to Allah Almighty to rests the departed soul in peace and quick recovery to those injured in the attack.
He also directed the provincial government to ensure best treatment facilities to the injured.
The PM paid tribute to the Army soldiers martyred in the attack, who were on census duty.
Meanwhile, President Mamnoon Hussain also condemned the attack. He pledged that all projects of national importance including population census would be completed.
