TEHRAN: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has reached Mashhad, city of Iran for a two-day visit while Governor-General Khurasan Raza Hussaini received him on the airport.
It is pertinent to mention here that the premier is visiting the neighbouring country on the invitation of Iranian president Hassan Rouhani.
Sources said that PM Imran will visit the tomb of Hazrat Imam Raza (R.A) in Mashhad and will also call on Ayat Ullah Marvi trustee of the tomb.
The PM will be given dinner in his honour on today’s night in Tehran while he will receive a guard of honour on the morning of April 22 in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
After the guard of honour delegation level meeting will be held and many MOUs will be signed followed by a joint press conference.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will host luncheon for PM Imran while the PM will call on the Iranian President separately.
The premier will also meet Iranian investors and business community while he will also hold meeting with Iranian Supreme leader Syed Ali Khamnaye wherein situation in Afghanistan and tackling terrorism will be discussed.
It is first visit of the PM to Iran after he assumed the post of PM.
